Free Piano Concert
On Sunday, June 19, at 4 p.m. Music at First Christian will present pianists Suzanne Lowry and Harold Brown in an afternoon of music for piano and organ duet as well as four hand piano music. The concert will feature Mozart’s exciting Piano Concerto, K 415 in C Major. Maurice Ravel’s charming Mother Goose Suite will round out the program.
Suzanne Lowry, originally from Princeton, taught all levels of public school music for 31 years, the majority being at Princeton Junior High School and Princeton High School. While at Princeton Junior High she started their first show choir “Encore”. At Princeton High School she directed the “Princeton High School Madrigal Singers” and started their award winning show choir, “Center Stage.” She also instituted the first AP music theory class at the school.
Harold Brown has enjoyed a performance career across North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. Mr. Brown’s formal studies were at George Mason University and the Juilliard School.
There is no admission charge for the concert. The public is cordially invited. Students and youth are most welcome!
A desert reception will be served afterward. Music at First Christian extends a most warm invitation to come and share in this afternoon of music, food and fellowship.
