Greetings from Bluefield, the Southern Gateway to the beautiful State of West Virginia. With a population of over 11,000 people, Bluefield is a thriving community nestled in the Southernwelcomesign Appalachian Mountain Range. Bluefield's relatively high elevation is responsible for the moderate summer climate, which has earned it the title of "Nature's Air Conditioned City."

Bluefield is an active, friendly community that is a great place to live, work and visit. Annual events including the Holiday of Lights, Mountain Festival, Blue-Gray Horse Show and College Soccer Tournament, make Bluefield a fun-filled destination. It also boasts nearby ski resorts, white water rafting and the increasingly popular ATV mountain trails. Bluefield is proud to be the hometown to one of America's Nobel Prize winners, Dr. John F. Nash, (A Beautiful Mind).

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life through efficient management of our resources and by providing the necessary services to ensure the health, safety and well-being of its citizens.
