Serve the Hill

The “Serve the Hill” campaign is a partnership between Bluefield Sate College and the community of Bluefield to assist our friends, neighbors and fellow citizens to improve the overall quality of life for everyone in our community. Bluefield is in a great place to grow and is leading the country in innovative businesses and efforts to rejuvenate the city. This program is designed to touch every citizen and provide additional assistance where we can and build stronger bonds in our community. We are all fortunate enough to live in West Virginia and part of our cultural history is our close knit and tight communities. This program will reinforce that culture and pass it on to our younger generation.

On this website you will find a job order work form. I ask you look at it and find a friend or neighbor in need and assist the community in lending a helping hand. Bluefield Sate College is a phenomenal educational institution, and our student athletes are a treasured resource. This program will allow us to further integrate these great young men and women into our community by improving their lives and those of our citizens.

The task can be as simple as trash pickup to potential assistance in fixing a house. We ask you describe the need, and we will work together to address it. It all starts with us. Once the form is submitted a team from Bluefield Sate College and the City will assess the work order and let the community liaison or individual know the date of the work, and a team from Bluefield Sate College and the city will come to assist. Our teams and coaches are ready.

It is my honor to be a part of the Bluefield Team and I very much appreciate everyone in this community. Let’s join together and take care of each other. If you have any questions, contact City Hall I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Cecil Marson, City Manager
