Garbage Collection
The City of Bluefield provides weekly trash pick-up for residents and businesses. Trash must be placed at the curb or alley no later than 7:00 AM the day of collection, should be tied in bags in a container, and should not exceed weight of 60 pounds. Please call the Public Works Office at (304) 327-2401 extension 2494 for scheduled pick-up dates.
Items of Note
- Garbage routes may not always run in the same order from week to week. Please observe the 7 AM rule to insure you do not miss collectors. If trash is not out when trucks go through your street, drivers will not return to get trash at a later time.
- While city workers take precautions to not cause/create damage to residential cans, the city is not responsible for damage of waste receptacles.
- The city will collect up to eight (8) bags of regular household garbage.
- Yard debris, furniture, appliances, etc. are considered special pickups and must be called into the treasurer’s office.
